First Field Trip

Greyson had his first field trip today with his class, and I got to tag along with him. October is fire safety month, so they got to visit Station #1 in Norfolk to meet the firefighters and all the vehicles they have. Greyson had a wonderful time and learned a lot about fire safety! I can't believe we are already at the point of field trips, he is turning into such a big boy. To see all the pictures from his trip click here.

Rain Rain Go Away

Thursday it rained like a million inches and flooded our neighborhood, we still can't get in or out. I had to park my car at the grocery store down the street after work, and then we had to swim/walk down the street, I mean lake to get back to it today.

We are going to try another round of this blog, hopefully we will be able to keep it up! We will start one for baby number two as soon as she arrives!

Pumpkin Patch

Saturday we took a trip to Hunt Club Farms for family fall activities. We had a blast. Greyson took a little while to warm up to the animals in the petting zoo, but once he did he love it. I think his favorite part was riding the tractor. The kids loves cars/trucks!!!! Non-stop all day... GO-GO GO-GO....we may be the next Ricky Bobby!! HAHA. We ended the day with looking at pumpkins and taking a hay ride. Greyson spent the rest of the day making animal sounds of all the animals we saw....sheep, horses, chickens and so on. We had a great time and this means it's officially Fall!! Stay tuned next week for Halloween pics and updates!! Check out the pics!!

Newport News Fall Fest

Last weekend we took the little man out to the Newport News Fall Festival for some farm animals, crafts, pumpkins and hay. We had a really great time, the weather was beautiful!

Peep This

It's October tomorrow!!

Here we sit on the brink of October, and I hardly believe the words as I type them. October seriously...like two months before X-mas?!! Greyson will be a year and a half old this month, I feel like we were just holding him for the first time...time flies. Greyson is growing into such a sweet loving smart little man. He had been saying more words now, I think we are up to Mama, Dada, Up , Down, Bye Bye, Hi, Yes, No, out, car, gogo ( which means car), cocoa (which mean choc milk) and a slurred verison of Love you.

We went on our first family bike ride last week and used this awesome bike seat, Greyson loved it. He thought he was steering the bike all by himself. We went down the Neptune Fest and it was so windy, but we mangage to ride bikes from 9th to 35th street making some fun stops along the way.

We have the Newport News Fall Fest this weekend, and Childern's Fest next weekend, and Hunt Club Farms after that, so we are busy busy with lots of family fun!

Greyson has been using the potty off and on now for about 3 weeks. He has gone number 2 and couple of times...I will spare you the photos, yes we have them.....and he goes number 1 a few times a day when you ask him too, and he is getting better about telling us he needs to go. We are just going with the flow no pressure on the G-man, when you use it cool, if not we don't worry... I mean the kid is like a year ahead of himself!! It's all the Omega-3 and DHA I took during the pregnancy...his brain is huge!! HAHA

Greyson and Dada have been going for run in the evening with the jogging stroller.... a little male bonding time, plus once I tell Greyson...."Wanna go for a run with dada?!!" and Greyson says "YEAH", then Chris can't get out of running or he has to explain it to Grey....it's such a good plan to get him in shape! Now if I could just find the time.

We are working on Halloween costumes....we will keep you posted on that one

Big changes with Grandma and Grandpa Walsh....Gail's company is closing down.... so there may be a big change in their future. We will support whatever they want to do, but if they do travel the US for the next year...there better room for a crib in that camper for G-man!!! He loves them so much, even if Grandpa makes him cry. HAHA.

Sorry it's been so long since the last post. we just got busy then had problems uploading videos(still cant) then next thing you know it's been over a month. SORRY. So a lot has been going on. Greyson has started go to a full time baby sitter. He had a rough go in the beginning, but all is well now. He has a Great time over there. Her name is Amy and she has two kids, a 4 year old boy named Devlin and a 2 year old daughter named Alora. They paint, play outside, go swimming, go to the aquarium, learn sign language and all kinda of fun stuff. Everyone is happy with the situation.
Over July 4th weekend Courtney went on a trip to Las Vegas for her sister Brittany's birthday. So i had the little guy by myself for 4 days. We had a great time. We went to the beach one morning and we also went over to Grandma and Grandpa house a couple times. We missed mama very much and were so happy when she got back.
Greyson has 4 top and two bottom teeth now. It's crazy to see him with teeth. He is full on a little person now. He signs like crazy and tells us he's hungry, or thirsty, if he sees a duck or an airplane. And he listens too. CRAZY!! He can pick out all the animals in his
books too. He's just growing up so, so fast.
I know I'm forgetting something so i will have Court do a post in a few days.

so mama and me were playng outside while dad was sleeping on the couch and it started to rain. i didn't want to come in. dad woke up and grabbed the camera. i love it outside.

Memorial Day 09

so a lot has been going on in our household for the last few weeks. Chris started a new job! Can I get a YEAH for health insurance!! We finally found a Nanny for Greyson, her name is Amy and she is wonderful, his first day is June 8th, so I will update about that adventure then. Aunt Steph came to visit two weeks ago so looks for quality family time there, and this weekend has the annual Outer Banks trip for Memorial Day. We have been so busy we barely have time to clean the house...AHHH. Greyson is growing in leaps and bounds. He truly is such a smart little man. You show him something once and that's it he will remember it no problem. He is running, laughing and yes we finally have TEETH!!!! One giant front one on top that is fully in and we are working on the second front tooth and a semi-crooked bottom front tooth! He looks so funny with teeth, I guess he is no longer a baby and now a toddler. Greyson want for his first real swim and he really enjoyed it, although the water was a little chilly he had fun with daddy and the other kids. Greyson finally had his first birthday party today! The weather was great and all the family and friends made it out. We sure did miss the few of you guys that couldn't make it, but we totally understand! I put a link to all the photos from today's party. Greyson had so much fun just being outside with everyone. He was unsure what to do at first with the cake, since you know Mom never lets him eat that sorta thing, but once I told him it was organic he dug right in. He enjoyed sharing his cake as well with me, dada, grandpa, grandma, and aunt brit, I mean how do you turn down a nice piece of chocolate cake with drool....yum! I will say the first birthday party was a complete success, and it wouldn't have been so easy with out all the help from Gail and Jim (BBQ Master, and excellent at securing a table cloth), Aunt Brit, Shelly and everyone else who donated their time and/or a dish! The food was excellent and we have too many leftovers, except I'm a little bitter Gail and Jim took home the left over baked beans, but I understand they are too good to leave behind! Again, thank you to everyone for everything, Greyson loves ALL of his gifts, the kid is just spoiled rotten. He is lucky to be surround by such loving people and Chris and I are just as lucky. I guess it's official Greyson's birthday will be the new way to start the spring/summer season and what a why to start with such a handsome little boy!!! XOXO

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY !!!!!!!!!

So yesterday was my birthday. One whole year. The big 0 1. Seems like much longer. I'm having a party this Sunday at Mt.Trashmore. It should be sick. I'm bummed cause a bunch of the fam can't make it , but its cool. No worries. I'll post pics of the party Sunday night if I'm not to wiped out. Peace out
